Women's History Month Campaign
In my final campaign in this position, I wanted to celebrate the CCEE women for Women's History Month. I created 18x20 inch posters and we hung them in the engineering halls, organized a media plan, and executed it. The posters highlight a current student, a current faculty member, and a historical CCEE woman. The stories overlap with the posters, but we also included an alumni and graduate student to cover all aspects of CCEE women. Click the images to expand the posters, and clicking the stories will take you to the full ones!

This is a banner I made for the CCEE landing page to urge alumni to register for the celebration events. I kept it simple and fun, appealing to an older audience.

This is the live-documentation I did for the day of the celebration, these stories were posted on Instagram and Facebook so people could follow the events throughout the day without me clogging up their feed.

This story really pushed me in my technical writing ability. The topic was difficult to understand at first, but after researching and familiarizing myself with the materials, the story came together in an easy-to-read way.
This story highlights the technology and accomplishments this team of alumni have made with their grain-drying tech. It was my first try with a more-technical angle.
This is one in a series of stories I wrote to highlight the women on faculty and staff in engineering for International Women in Engineering Day 2021.
I interviewed a number of individuals and the series was the first in Iowa State's time to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day.
CYstarters is an entrepreneurship program for students at Iowa State starting their own business. There are several engineering students and graduates in the program this year, and this story explains the businesses and showcases the students.
This is more of a personal story; Doug Wood dedicated decades of his life and career to Iowa State, and I was tasked with writing a story encompassing his accomplishments and journey as a Cyclone.
These graphics are made through Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, following the Iowa State branding standards.

International Women in Engineering Day
While scrolling through their social media and comparing it to other university's college of engineering pages, I noticed that Iowa State hadn't posted about International Women in Engineering Day. It was shocking that such an engineering and equality-focused university had not posted or been involved with an international celebration of women in engineering. I took the initiative to create these repostable graphics to post on the CoE social media and created a social media plan and passed it on to the social media manager.

Although my plan was not used on the CoE main page, I posted them on the CCEE and ABE pages I have access to, celebrating the hardworking women at this college.
Graphics for stories and social media
This is a template I made to post the Women in Engineering stories on social media to get more reach highlighting these women.
This graphic accompanied my CYstarters story in the College of Engineering Newsletter.
This template I made to post alumni spotlights on social media to celebrate the 150th anniversary of civil, construction, and environmental engineering.
Publications, Brochures, booklets, and banners

The CCEE Impact Report is a publication that comes out every fall semester, read by staff and faculty, alumni, industry partners, and students. I had a hand in almost every element of this publication and it was great experience in writing, photography, design, and editing.
I used the Iowa State template for brochures, inputting information and editing the format to suit the entrepreneurship program for ABE. Choosing where to put what information and photo placement was the most challenging part.
This is the welcoming booklet for new CCEE students. I was tasked with completing a rebrand and updating the information within it. I had to start with a fresh InDesign document and format it from scratch due to how old the document was; they didn't have the original file. It was fun to work on such a big project that will be going to real students.
This was my first assignment on the job. Agricultural and biosystems engineering competed closely with other colleges and went from 1st to 2nd, so I updated the photo and the text. It is now the first slot on the ABE webpage's carousel.
